Peacock Decor

Peacock feathers carry a sense of mystique, beauty, and modern elegance.
I found peacock feathers at a few shops around the state.
I put the feathers in my small glass vase from Ikea.
My nightstand looks wonderful with these feathers next to my newly painted vintage mirror.

Yes-- the only thing that doesn't appear quite as  elegant is my copy of Mockingjay.
I'm almost finished!

Any decorating ideas?
Share them with me.
I'm all feathers.

Chunky Snakeskin Heels

Today I was part of a beautiful shoe buy.

Between myself, my best friend, and the nice check out lady at DSW, I was able to successfully purchase a lovely pair of faux snakeskin heels.  Did I mention the pair cost $21?

I'm very happy about this... to say the least.

The shoes are Mrkt.
Take a peek for yourself online here.
They are a bit more spendy online.

Maxi Dress Me

I bought a maxi dress as Ross for $12 and then found this amazing little jean vest (I was dreaming about it for two weeks before buying it) at Macy's.

I love this combination.  I'm all about putting cute combos together for summer...as you may have noticed from my last few posts.

I think my jean vest gives my maxi dress more of an edge, which I like.

I posted a few pictures below.

I honestly never thought I would be able to wear a maxi dress because I'm just under 5' 4" -- but apparently that's not the case.  I was inspired by a friend of mine; she is shorter than me and wears
her maxi dress so well.
She really inspired me to try it out.

Forever I am 20

Forever21 has a beautiful vintage pink lace top that I paired with a layered pink jewel necklace.
A wonderful combination.
Nothing has snagged or torn and I have already worn this lace top multiple times.
I love pieces like these because they make me feel elegant and sophisticated.

Lace top - $19.80
Gold and pink jewel necklace - $6.90

I couldn't find these pieces online for the time being...
They are both still in stores though!

Summer shopping.  Enjoy.

J Crew Elephant + Sweater

Now that I am on my J Crew kick...

I bought the cute little elephant charm necklace on the J Crew Factory website for $12.50 with free shipping.
Score.
Secondly, I bought a blue-green three quarter length sweater as a transition piece for fall.  I love wearing it with my distressed denim shorts.  Easy, comfortable, and it looks great with my charm necklace and leopard print Betsy Johnson watch.  Nice and simple.
Score.

Take a peek at my necklace and sweater.

The first photo is a great cheesy candid shot, huh?  Ha.
My brother was laughing and snapping photos of me while I searched for my lip gloss.
My brother is so silly.
Sibling appreciation.

J Crew Discount Code

Enjoy :)

Good through Monday the 9th!

Floppy Sun Hats

I need to buy myself a nice floppy sunhat so that when I plop myself down to soak up some sun rays (skin protected of course) -- I want to shade my face.  Throwing a towel over my face is an alternative, but it's not  so glamorous or chic.

I have been looking all over the place for cute sun hats.  I love the floppy ones that really give my face a nice shadow for reading or just laying out.

Audrey Hepburn was a fan of wearing oversize sun hats.

Style stars are always wearing fun sun hats in Hollywood.  Very glam.

Vanessa's hat is my favorite of the three.

Check out a few sun hats that I found online.
It's time to cool down.

Bow Accent Floppy Hat - Forever21 - $10.80
Sashed Floppy Hat - Forever21 - $14.80
Tie Trim Wide Brim Floppy Hat - JCP - $20.00

Casual Hat - Nordstrom - $28.00

Enjoy these!
And protect your beautiful skin in the sun!

Temporary Tattoo Me

If you know me at all... you would know that I can be rather indecisive.  When it comes to permanent things like tattoos...I become hesitant.  I change my mind a lot.

A friend of mine wears a little tattoo near her collar bone and she changes it every so often.  The tattoos that she wears are temporary.  Her tattoo always looks so real in all black!

She orders her tattoos online at tattoosales.
If you're thinking about getting some real ink and are not sure of what you would like to do..or maybe you're not sure where you would put your tattoo-- check out Tattoo Sales to buy some temporaries.

I posted a few of my favorites below.  Fun for summertime.

Vintage - So pretty!

Tattoo Sheet with Birdcage and Peacock Feather - I love these!

Tattoo Sheet Henna Style - Multiple options.

Dove - Small and simple.

Ladybug - Cutesy.

Dragonfly - I love the patterns!
