Sleeveless Collared Tops

I have just a few minutes before I plan to sit down and read.  That being said, I have two tops in mind that I want to share with you.  You may have seen the sheer summer tops that are sleeveless with a collar.  I think these are adorable... I just gave a rather dull description though-- so for a better idea of what I'm talking about, check below.

The top above is from ZooShoo.com and is $25.  ZooShoo offers free shipping as well.  I just love the color and the length. This top would be perfect with thick black leggings or jeggings, and a pair of motorcycle boots.  OR Tucked in to the front of a pair of distressed denim shorts or capris.

Check out this top on Zooshoo here.

The top above is from JCP and it is only $17!  The best part?  It comes in solid black too-- which is a great staple piece for work (put it under sweaters for winter!).  I think this top is amazing and the sheer fabric is so pretty.  It's hard to see, but there are also two pockets on the front.  Being that this top is shorter than the one from ZooShoo, I would definately recomend wearing it in summer with shorts half tucked in with a skinny belt.  OR wear it with dark jeans/black pants and riding style boots.  LOVE.

Check out this top (and the other colors and patterns it comes in) at JCP here

That was brief!

Breezy Chic Zooshoo

Great deals AND free shipping through ZooShoo.

ZooShoo, an online retailer that compiles different brands, is a great source for up-to-date fashion.  This fashion website features clothing and accessories from brands like American Apparel and Steve Madden-- but picks the best items for their online look book.  Many of the looks are simple and chic.  Take a peak at their spring collection pieces.  Courtesey of Zooshoo.com.  I'm obsessed with the reptilian bag ($31.90)!

Sally Hansen Nails

I usually cheap out and buy the 99 cent nail polish; however, I decided to try some Sally Hansen "Hard As Nails" polish because I found a bottle on sale for $2.  BIG SPENDER-- I know.

After trying out the new polish this week, I came to find that it is indeed much better than my regular 99 cent polish.  I bought the polish in black, and it only took me one coat, and this lasted for several days before chipping.  Had I put a second coat on AND a clear coat on top-- I'm sure they would have lasted even longer.

So, my advice to you?  Get the better polish.  This polish is normally only a few dollars more anyhow.  Maybe you can even find it on sale...like I did!

I have to rock black polish.  How trendy is that?!

Simple and Together

When all else fails?  Sweater + black pants + boots

This is my go-to outfit.  I find myself wearing a different sweater with black pants at least 4 days out of the week.  I still feel put together though.  Something must be right with it...

When in need, this combo will save your style.

Simple and Together.

Sweater: Gap
Pants: See Thru Soul (Nordstroms)
Boots:  Resale (Flipside Apparel Exchange)

New Yorker Rocks Her Warby Parkers

My dear friend Jasmine works in New York City and I had the privilege of becoming her friend through a fashion-closet internship this past fall.  Although we have both moved on to other things since December, we have managed to keep in contact and it's nice to see how she is doing from time to time.  For me, it's inspiring to have friends that live in different places around the nation-- Jasmine's a New Yorker!

There's no doubt about it though, what brought Jasmine and I together was our love for everything J Crew.

Yet, as we've kept in touch and I see new pictures of her and her wonderful style, I have to ask questions.

My most recent inquiry was:  What glasses are those!?

Jasmine wears a pair of vintage inspired Warby Parker "Huxley" thick rimmed glasses.  They are simply adorable on her.

Oh yes-- and trendy too!

Check out the Warby Parker website here.

The particular pair that Jasmine wears can be found here on the website for only $95.  That's a great price for prescription glasses and...wait for it... Warby Parker is a "buy a pair, give a pair" company.  Check out the Warby Parker video below (it's less than 2 minutes) to get a better idea of what Warby Parker is all about!

Thank you Jasmine.
