Animals So Charming

I constantly wear my dainty gold giraffe charm necklace from J Crew and I never tire of it.

I am on the hunt for dainty animal charm necklaces.
Perhaps I can find elephants, owls and other exotic animals...

After some charm searching... I have discovered the following:

1.  Gold elephant charm necklace at Nordstrom.
$133.90 with free shipping.

2.  Gold Lauren Conrad owl pendant necklace at Kohl's.
$15

3.  J Crew hippo charm necklace at J Crew Factory.
$12.50

4.  J Crew elephant charm necklace at J Crew Factory.
$12.50

5.  Giraffe charm necklace on Etsy by EvelynMaeCreations.
(This one looks just like my J Crew giraffe...maybe it is!)
$10

I adore the J Crew Factory charm necklaces.  I got my all-gold giraffe charm necklace from the factory store.  The prices are really fantastic as well.

I'm still on the lookout...for animal charms.

GAP Ankle Pants

I just bought the most amazing new pants at Gap.

I plan to post a picture of mine, but until then... check out this green pair of ankle pants from GAP.
The photo online does NOT do these pants justice.
The pants are a slim leg crop/ankle pant.

So cute for summer.  And I feel sophisticated pairing heels with these pants.

Of course, sandals are always cute too. ; )

Magazine Hoarding

I can no longer escape the truth (for fashion's sake).

I hoard magazines.  It began in 2004.

"Hoard" -- what an icky word.
Since 2004, I rarely rid of my magazines.  I love referencing them and cutting out pictures.  I create my inspiration books solely from my magazines!

I have subscriptions to:   Harper's Bazaar, W, Vogue, People, People Style Watch, Marie Claire, Elle, Seventeen, and Teen Vogue.  My mailman must think that I am crazy.

I have been working on numerous decoupage projects-- so my magazine stash is coming in handy.
Since I have moved, I am finding magazines everywhere!  In my closet, under my bed, in shoe boxes.
I decided to start organizing my magazines by title.  I just started... let's see how this goes.

I plan to go through them for my craft projects and then rid of them directly after! TOO MUCH!  (Okay, maybe I will keep a few of my favorite issues...)  SEE!  I'm doing it again.  It's hard to part with my so beautifully compiled magazines.

You may be thinking that I spend a ridiculous amount of money on magazines.  Truth is... I take online surveys and get many of the subscriptions free.  As for the other half, I pay $35 total a year to renew, but that includes a few years of renewals.

Not too bad for my obsessive hoarding problem.
I'm a reader, but I like pictures too. ;)

Nicole Lapin Knows Best

Nicole Lapin, one of my favorite broadcast journalists for CNBC, is absolutely fabulous.
Take a look at this video-- she discusses 5 things that you SHOULD NOT wear to the office.

From one fashionably employed girl to another-- thank you Nicole!

Lastly, what I love about Nicole is the fact that she is so well-versed.  She is a great communicator and she is confident.

Did I mention she's a wise recessionista as well?

Vintage Prints on Etsy

As I have written before, I believe that fashion and style can be incorporated into anything.

A building or piece of art can have a tremendous amount of spectacular style.

I was browsing Etsy.com and came across a seller by the name of collageOrama.
collageOrama takes vintage graphics and prints them onto recycled pages of old dictionaries.
The 8.5 x 11in. prints look rather trendy and unique.  According to their selling specifics, each dictionary page that the graphic is printed on will be different, since they use hundreds of old recycled pages.

I chose a few of my favorite prints out of their 600+ designs.

The prints are 7.99 each and if you purchase 3, they will give you the 4th print free.
The prints do not come with frames.

Beauty: Zoe & Zac Naturals

Payless Shoe Source has recently taken on Zac & Zoe, a green brand with lotions, lip glosses, and hand sanitizers among other things.  The catch?  All of the ingredients in Zac & Zoe beauty products are free of parabens and phthalates; they're natural.

Zac & Zoe beauty products are available at select Payless stores and they are rather affordable!
I was just in Payless this week to ask for moving boxes (ha) and they had their Zac & Zoe hand sanitizer on sale for $1 and the hand cream for $2.  Yes.

I thought I just HAD to give it try for that price.

The hand sanitizer is great because it doesn't smell like
regular strong sanitizer; the grapefruit scent is soft and sweet.

Below is the Zoe & Zac "Sugar and Pink Grapefruit" hand sanitizer
and the "Fig Sandalwood" hand cream (the two products that I bought).

Mmmm.... I think I'll like trying these out.

Check out more of Zoe & Zac products on their website here.
